View download progress updating android apps

Please help me out with this problem!! In both the cases u have to add external sdcard manually. I want to download an apk file from my server and after downloading i want it to run. And am able to store it only in my phone memory instead of sdcard. Any suggestions.? How to create hidden folder and save file in that folder, so that the file is not visible to user.
